Bianca Ornelas is a multidisciplinary artist that has used mediums such as soft pastel, watercolor, sepia, sanguine, and digital media. She is most known for her colorful chalk murals and dramatic oil paintings. Ornelas draws deeply from the dramatic mastery of painters like Caravaggio and Rembrandt, while infusing her work with the bold, vibrant colors and cultural richness of her Mexican heritage. Ornelas studied under a prominent Mexican artist named Hugo Zavaleta, who is based in Mexico City. Her studies under Zavaleta focused on Renaissance techniques used similarly by Michelangelo.

 

Ornelas has won many awards for her outstanding work, such as “Best Recreation of a Masterpiece” and  “Best Use of Color” twice at the largest outdoor gallery, The Pasadena Chalk Festival. 

Ornelas has worked with clients like: USA Pears, Levi's, National Football League - 2022 Super Bowl, CBS Studios, Professional Esports Organization: Team Liquid, and  2021 Compton City Mayor Campaign.
